About WhoBoughtMyVote
A civic transparency platform dedicated to illuminating relationships among money, power, and governance.
Our Mission
WhoBoughtMyVote.com exists to empower citizens with the information they need to participate meaningfully in democracy. We believe that Americans agree on more than we think—and that transparency about political influence is common ground that transcends party lines.
This is not about "us vs. them." It's not about attacking one party or defending another. The forces that benefit from division—and from keeping voters in the dark—cross party lines. So does our commitment to sunlight.
Our goal is simple: aggregate publicly available records about campaign finance, voting records, lobbying activities, and financial disclosures into a single, searchable platform that anyone can use to understand the landscape of political influence. We present the facts. You decide what they mean.
Overcoming "Us vs. Them"
The loudest voices in politics profit from division. They want you angry at your neighbors, suspicious of fellow citizens, and too distracted to notice the systems of influence that operate behind the scenes—on both sides of the aisle.
We reject that game. The same corporations donate to candidates of both parties. The same lobbying firms work for clients across the political spectrum. The same dark money networks fund groups on the left and right. When you see the full picture, the partisan theater starts to look like exactly that—theater.
Transparency is not a partisan issue. Whether you're a conservative who believes in accountable government or a progressive who wants money out of politics, you deserve to see the same data. That's what we provide.
Entity and Brand Separation
WhoBoughtMyVote.com is operated by Civic Insight Systems LLC, a Texas limited liability company.
The domain name "WhoBoughtMyVote.com" constitutes a rhetorical question and protected political expression—not a factual assertion by the Company. Civic Insight Systems LLC is a neutral data publisher and analysis platform. The Company does not adopt, endorse, or assert as fact any implications that may be drawn from the domain name or brand identity.
In short: The brand asks a question. The company publishes records.
All factual claims published on this site originate from authoritative public records, which are cited and sourced. Where we present analysis, it is clearly labeled as such.
No Allegation of Illegal Conduct
This site does not allege bribery, vote-buying, or any criminal offense unless explicitly stated with reference to an official adjudication, indictment, or regulatory finding.
The presentation of campaign contributions alongside voting records or official actions does not, by itself, assert a quid pro quo or illegal exchange. Correlation does not imply causation. Readers are encouraged to review the cited public records and draw their own conclusions.
Where we present analysis connecting donations to actions, such analysis is clearly labeled and based on publicly available timing, amounts, and documented relationships—not on assertions of intent, motive, or illegality.

- No Criminal Allegations: We never assert criminal conduct unless referencing an official adjudication, indictment, or regulatory finding.
- No Claims of Intent: We never state intent or motive as fact. We present what the records show—timing, amounts, relationships—and let readers draw their own conclusions.
- Source Attribution: Every data point includes attribution to its source, using language like "According to FEC filings..." or "Public records indicate..."
